Air Blown Fibre

_
ABF-Microduct

Is your network constantly undergoing modifications to accommodate technology changes, growth or reorganizations? Are moves, adds and changes an everyday occurrence for you? If so, air blown fibre could be a perfect network infrastructure solution that will enable you to maximize your fibre capacity and have the network flexibility you require while at the same time minimizing costs.

Air blown fibre is designed to meet the requirements of nearly every cabling application; riser, traditional cable and outside plant. Typical applications include:

  • LANs
  • WANs
  • CCTV
  • Access Control
  • Traditional Voice and VoIP

_
FTTx PlantUnlike traditional cabling systems, an air blown fibre solution provides "fibre on demand" which in turn enables IT and communications departments to easily control and increase network capacity on demand, to eliminate the need for long-term capacity forecasting, and to avoid installing cabling that no longer meets network requirements and becomes obsolete.

Air blown fibre uses compact tube cables or micro-ducts in place of traditional inner-duct and provides empty tube cables that can be used at any time to increase fibre capacity when required. When additional fibre is required, it can be added quickly and easily using a cable blowing head. Additionally, existing fibre configurations located in the tubes can be easily removed and new configurations can be added at moment's notice; thereby making upgrades fast and inexpensive.
